The Finnish Social and Health Informatics Association (FinnSHIA) is a community of the Finnish scientists and professionals in the field of health and welfare informatics. It enables the co-operation and fluent information flow about the field among its members. FinnSHIA arranges its scientific event – the research day, annually inviting papers from the association members and other interested authors of the field. Together with the Finnish Telemedicine and eHealth Association, FinnSHIA publishes a scientific e-journal Finnish Journal of eHealth and eWelfare.
FinnSHIA represents Finland in the European Federation of Medical Informatics (EFMI) and the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA).
